September 26, 2025 – Rapidly rising Irish folk trio Amble release their new 4-song ‘HAND ME DOWNS’ EP featuring the title track “Hand Me Downs.” The EP came to life alongside producer Philip Weinrobe, known for his collaborations with artists like Big Thief’s Adrienne Lenker, marking the first time Amble has opened up their creative process to an outside producer. Staying true to their roots, the band performed and sang every song live together, with room microphones capturing the magic. Order the EP HERE.
Amble is in the midst of a prolific run following their debut album, Reverie, which earned acclaim from the likes of NPR, Stereogum, Rolling Stone, and more. Upon its release earlier this summer, the record clinched #1 on Ireland’s Official Albums Chart for 4 non-consecutive weeks.
Amble’s meteoric rise is a testament to their dedication: the trio — Robbie Cunningham, Ross McNerney (mandolin/bouzouki), and Oisin McCaffrey (vocals/guitar) — only formed in late 2022 after quitting their day jobs as school teachers and a data scientist in rural Western Ireland. In just over two years, their captivating energy, descriptive storytelling, and heartfelt lyrics have cultivated a passionate global fanbase, translating into more than 130 million streams and 100K headline tickets sold in 2025.
Amble’s captivating live performances continue to enrapture audiences worldwide. In early September, they began the second North American leg of their extensive sold-out world headline tour, including two nights at Irving Plaza in New York and El Rey Theatre in Los Angeles, each sold out well in advance.
